Ah, that cab fare finally came through so I'm heading off to Europe next week. Sorry to harp on about automata on this list but we all have our hobby horses and this is one of mine, and it's an academic interest on my part so I hope people can indulge me. If anyone here can recommend any automata or related items of interest in or near Berlin, Munich, Neuchatel, anywhere in Italy, England, Paris, or especially Tokyo (Karakuri - Japanese automata) I would be very grateful. Special thanks to Dave Monroe for previous assistance in this regard. I've already lined up quite a few of the more obvious, ie the Jacquet-Droz' in Neuchatel, the replica of Vaucanson's duck in Grenoble (I'll post some photos if people like), but there are plenty out there and museum websites are notoriously incomplete. Also, I won't be able to contribute to any MDDM stuff for the next 6 weeks (for obvious reasons) but I hope it keeps going as I'm getting a lot out of it, and thanks to all who've had time to contribute. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
