Some people reject the Playboy Japan interview because in it Pynchon
doesn't come on as a gung ho supporter of Bush's post-9/11 war on terrorism
-- although that should hardly be surprising, given the way Pynchon savaged
Reagan-Bush in Vineland, that would be the same Reagan-Bush administration
that launched the war on terrorism of which Bush Jr's is only the latest
development.

Why is it so difficult for some people to admit to their particular
political biases? We all have them.  Meanwhile, it remains funny to see
somebody with an obvious political angle twisting and turning in a vain
effort to claim objectivity.

Still LOL about that duty we all have to show respect for the Bush Jr.
presidency.
