Ashcroft's Favorite Simpson On June 13, Lloyd Grove's "The Reliable Source" column in the "Washington Post" noted that Attorney General John Ashcroft had been spotted reading "The Gospel According to the Simpsons"î on a May 21 flight from Memphis to Washington. Written by "Orlando Sentinel" religion writer Mark Pinsky and published last year by Presbyterian publishing house Westminster John Knox, the book was a gift from one of Ashcroft's aides, according to a Justice Department spokeswoman. The top cop apparently told the "Post" 's spy that his favorite Simpson is Lisa. from: Religion Bookline from Publishers Weekly June 25, 2002
