Now that we´re at it: where did this alleged fraternity between Clockwork and Trainspotting start, and, who began it? I had heard the analogy made a lot in regard to the film,s where I did not feel it was in any way ascertained ( Kubrick´s film achieves a peak of lyricism the TS film failed to reach, despite the fact I enjoyed it immensely) But what about the books...it seems farfetched to compare Burguess, metalinguist, to Welsh, justanotherone, no?
