      Well , of course Valery Yakemenko is too dull to be Pynchon's character , 
but decide for yourselves . He is the leader of "Идущие вместе" ("Going 
together" , I think) , propresidential group , working with youth (mostly in 
universities) . Their origin and funding are dim , but they have the support of 
Kremlin . Yakemenko names their goal as making ideal citizens for Putin's 
Russia out of young men and to fight any bad influence or opposition . Group is 
more , han legal . Now they fight "dirty" writers . For example , yesterday 
they had a demonstpation against "real enemies of Russia" , writers Vlavimir 
Sorokin and Victor Pelevin .Yakemenko himself in TV interview told about his 
wish to see Sorokin and Pelevin under the trial , and (coincidence?) there's a 
case in court against Sorokin (for pornography). Is Pelevin the next ?     Ivan.
