There are still folks discussing M&D and I think we should allow that discussion to come to its natural end. I wish I had the time to contribute (btw... Geoff is six weeks old and doing great). I remember a time (just two months before we started M&D) that the discussion of V. was coming to an end, and many who were regular at the start of the novel had fallen off (other interests, priorities, whatever) and people started posting these "What's next" posts... The result was a hurry to conclude V. and a frenzied month of COL49 and then an immediate start of M&D. I regret that this happened because I felt that we never concluded V.... so much left to discuss. We didn't do COL49 properly, and now there is a good chance that those who are still doing M&D will be time crunched in favor of another group read... maybe GR, then everyone can contribute for 12 weeks, followed by three to five people contributing for the rest of the lengthy novel, while others start calling for what's next. So let's not rush to figure out what is next, making big plans for what we won't finish... and give those who are sticking to M&D an opportunity to finish. -Sam
