Paradoxs

oh well, here we are, telling stories as my friend jeff baker once sang t=

void the oft-chance that some terror will reach our door. And who can say=

that they wouldn't be happy to feel safe in this day and age from the bli=
nd=20
wolf pack, but who can really say that?
We live under a new dispensation whether we believe it's warranted or not=

Better to not discuss or try to judge events not in front of your eyes--w=
ho=20
can say what is happening in the middle east or afganistan or anywhere=20
else--surely you don't believe those purveyors of neo-realism, the=20
journalists from the guardian or the wall street journal or any and sundr=
y=20
counter-punches.
What has Pynchon noted in some many of his public offerings:  that idea t=
hat=20
we all know too much. And maybe all we have left is to make fun of our=20
erections and moist secretions and the beautiful terror that is trying to=
=20
create a life in this awesome, crummy world, the marriage of pure magic a=
nd=20
malevolent violence to quote from Lucky Pierre.  Too bad there are those =
w/=20
too much of a dose of the latter, and not enough of the former.
Since 9/11 we've all said some pretty dumb things--guess that is to expec=
ted=20
when the zone shifts a bit.
Believe those who are uncertain. Moral outrage is some sinister sign of=20
something.
I know not what.
