I hope “digital” projection is better than digital TV.  I find digital TV quite annoying vs. Analog broadcasts.

Analog broadcasts continued uninterrupted when there was signal fade. The audio was almost never affected. The video would fade; perhaps hop around and jitter a bit. But it was almost always possible to continue to follow the story, with relative ease in most cases.

With digital broadcasting that is almost never the case. Whenever there are signal issues there are almost always fairly significant disruptions. It seems the audio is frequently the first to disappear, even if the video has no issues. When the video starts to go it almost always stops as it’s breaking up. It is usually difficult to follow the story without missing some details. As Murphy would have it, they’re frequently crucial to the final outcome.
