I don't think our goals are different. I was pointing out that minorities and women have faced discrimination for most of their lives. As a consequence of that, their presentation skills should be better than the average white male. It would seem that failing to demonstrate a learned skill (making a presentation) is sufficient to fail the interviewee for reasons previously stated. Further, hiring more males than minorities and women is a demonstration of interviewer biases. To put is more succinctly, women and minorities do not need special consideration during the hiring process. YMMV.
