"The aim of this two-day hands-on workshop is to explore scientific workflow
modelling with the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). BPEL has been
defined to orchestrate web services. A BPEL environment that supports
graphical modelling, enactment and monitoring of scientific workflows has
been developed at UCL with funding from the OMII Managed Programme.
Participants will a tutorial on the basic concepts of BPEL and an
introduction in the OMII BPEL environment. The main part of the workshop
will then be used to guide participants in the modelling of workflows in
their own domain with the aim of arriving at executable workflow
descriptions."
