Today's Wall Street Journal noted that the National Academy of  
Engineering has an open invitation ".to join in a worldwide  
brainstorming session. The goal: To determine the Grand Challenges  
for Engineering during the next 100 years and, perhaps, beyond."



Challenges are submitted to and, after vetting, are posted at: http:// 
www.engineeringchallenges.org/cms/7187.aspx 

A skim of ideas already posted reveals a lot of unoriginal "usual suspects"
(clean energy) and a few interesting ones (artificial brains). Surely the IP

community could do better.
