For more information on this item please visit my blog at http://green-broadband.blogspot.com/ or http://billstarnaud.blogspot.com ------------------------------------------- [The OECD has put together a nifty graphic showing broadband rankings of member countries, but which also include average price of broadband and average throughput (as we all know advertised Internet speeds are far different than what is experienced in reality). Canada and the US fare pretty poorly in these rankings, not only in terms of broadband penetration, but prices per Mbps of bandwidth and throughput. Thanks to Benoit Felten for this pointer who has reproduced the OCED graph on his blog -BSA] http://www.fiberevolution.com/2007/11/us-lags-in-grap.html ------------------------------------- To SUBSCRIBE: send a blank e-mail message to [email protected] To UNSUBSCRIBE: send a blank email message to [email protected] ------------------------------------- These news items and comments are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect those of the CANARIE board or management. ----------- [email protected] [email protected] web: www.canarie.ca/~bstarn skype: pocketpro blog: http://billstarnaud.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ news mailing list [email protected] http://lists.canarie.ca/mailman/listinfo/news
