I would say that the fairer sex does play a role in the leading number of rapes. Earlier the number of women who ventured into the streets late at night was limited. The number of women who were scantily clad were by the handful too. Now asking women to wear more clothes.. is that justified is yet to be determined. My point is just that as women reveal more of "themselves". This simply gives a man something to ogle about. It just plants seeds of desire in some men and entices them to fantasize things which later could lead to maybe potential rapes. But the cases such as rape of ones own daughter etc they are beyond this discussion and the poor little ones have known no harm. I am not justifying either that the men are not at fault. They are at fault and a rape is a crime that deserves heavy punishment but I would like to attribute a small security concern that might be due to the skimpin
 ess in clothes of women these days and also their mannerisms and maybe a pseudo western culture
 outlook.
