Since idealism is not going to turn into reality, I would answer your three questions..

1. BJP - They have done a fair job. We don't have better choices. Sonia Gandhi, lacks political experience. The Congress party is in shambles. Her children are naive as well. So, the BJP it is.

2. The first answer sort of led to the second one. Vajpayee is very old, but the only person with a face in the BJP, and the Congress doesn't even have that. I think the profile of Vajpayee, as projected to India and the world, satisfies my aspirations, given reality.

3. I would never want Karunanidhi as even an MLA. Unfortunately, there are enough idiots in Tamil Nadu to vote for people like him. Moreover, death doesn't come to people we wish it does. Hence he exists.

Given the current situation and from the past, I have always admired Jayalalitha's guts. In fact in the entire Indian political scene, only she, Seshan and Vittal share the fierceness, not necessarily the character (that of the latters actually existing and being good) that is needed to make India a better country, and Tamil Nadu a better state.

Dear Friends:

I assume that we all want the same thing, the good for India; i assume that we are all proud of
India and we want to do our bit for king and country. Some of us may be in better positions to
contribute materially to this end, while others, like me, atleast enlighten and enrich ourselves
with the knowledge, making us better people on the way.

Not all of us are the same: some of us are capable of thinking and acting independently; others
require a motivating external spark; still others require constant referencing to ideologies and
works by great thinkers; while still others lie dormant or quiet, and wait to be woken up or stirred
up. Yet, all of those five fingers are in the same hand, and when together, they make a fist.

Please let us start "thinking and acting". Let me make a point straightaway and invite "each" of
your views, suggestions, words of wisdom, advice...:

1. Which party should i favour in this general election? Why?
2. What should be the profile of the Prime Minister of India? Which person should i vote for?
3. What should be the profile of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and other states? Which person
should i vote for?

If you folks have a point, please make it. If you don't, please atleast SAY SO, so that i can hear you!

Cheers! :)
