Shows the way
Under the dynamic leadership of President, Adv Agnelo Furtado and his
enthusiastic team ,the heritage institution in the heart of Chinchinim
square has come alive
The old crumbling, decaying roof,the interior repaired and painted
In the second phase the frontage is shifted for safety concerns
,beautiful floor tiles installed, the open verandha is fenced with
artistic grills railings for elderly and a coat of fresh paint that makes
it an attractive,noticeable edifice
The greatest achievement is sustained effort to organize tenants into a
farmers cooperative.This has resulted into green revolution bringing under
plough thro Mechanised farming, acres of fallow fields over 3
decades.Besides Rabi and Kharif and cash crops introduced with
irrigation facility and fencing against grazing cattle nuisance
The honorofic title of Paddyman of Chinchinim is affectionately conferred
on Adv Furtado
The magnificent landmark, headquarters of Salcete communidade by Late
Governor Vassal Silva is in ruins of abjective neglect
Come and visit the House of Commumidade to replicate this institution to
its pristine glory of preserving this institution. .Congrarulations are
inorder to present committee
