"These clearly majoritarian anti-conversion legislations act against
religious diversity and create prejudice within the public institutions."

"Articles 25-30 unambiguously establish religious freedom in [an] expansive
and transparent sense of the word for every citizen and each community of
India. ?Freedom of conscience and profession, practice and propagation of
religion? (Article 25), ?Freedom to manage religious affairs? (Article 26),
?Freedom as to payment of taxes for *promotion of any particular religion*?
{emphasis added} (Article 27), ?Freedom as to attendance at religious
instruction or religious worship in certain educational institutions
(Article 28), ?Protection of interests of minorities? (Article 29) and
?Right of minorities to establish educational institutions?. The extent and
nature of religious freedom enunciated by the relevant constitutional
provisions are explicit enough to question the clauses and the
implementation of most of the anti-conversion laws passed to date."
