"Across India, a growing number of Christians are facing violence, arrests,
and social exclusion?often under the shadow of anti-conversion laws. In
states like Uttar Pradesh, these laws have led to hundreds of arrests, with
many accused of ?forced conversion? despite little or no credible evidence.

This documentary takes you inside that reality.

Through on-ground reporting in villages and cities across Uttar Pradesh,
this film follows the lives of both women and men targeted for their faith.
>From disrupted prayer meetings and mob attacks to police cases and
imprisonment, their stories reveal a troubling pattern where victims are
often treated as the accused.

Women, in particular, face a harsher burden. Inside jails, they recount
isolation, lack of medical care, forced labour, and separation from their
children. Men, often arrested alongside them, endure violence, prolonged
detention, and exhausting legal battles that stretch for months or even
years. Activists describe this as a serious human rights violation and
allege deliberate harassment of Christians.

Data from civil society groups indicates a sharp rise in attacks on
Christians, with over 800 incidents reported in 2024 alone. During the
Christmas period, multiple states reported increased disruptions to prayer
services, with dozens of arrests and several cases of mob violence
targeting gatherings."
