20 cent coin

This appeared on the Panthers website overnight.  Have to say I love the 
idea:




20 cent coin.

Well, I am almost a convert to the 20 cent theory.

That being, instead of having Video Ref's making decisions, they should 
actually hand the matter over to the Official Tosser, who will then toss a 
coin. Heads the decision goes with the attacking team, Tails it favours the 
defence.

Not only would it be approximately as accurate as a real decision, it would 
be much faster, and be guaranteed not to alienate any more people than the 
current 'professional' set-up..

It would give Nine the opportunity to show how clever they are by developing 
'Shnoze-Cam' - I little camera that pokes out of the Ref's nose and follows 
the coin in super slow mo, the segment could be sponsored by the Perth Mint 
and feature a brand spanking new Platinum Coin, they could roll out Darryl 
Eastlake to give the segmant some spark............

Geez, maybe it could work........
