IMPORTANT Sound Tech

Hi,

I haven't really been approached by anyone about any special requests for 
sound tech, so I think this shouldn't really affect any of the talk givers.

As sound tech I will only be recording talks and setting up the mic and stuff 
on the weekend.

Playing music can be done either of two ways:

Using the SOUND SYSTEM:
Either someone of your choice or an available godsquadder (if any) will play 
the CD via the sound system in the talk room.
Note for talkgivers: The sound system has been known to eat CDs 

OR 

Playing a song using a PORTABLE DEVICE:
I'm happy to set up a some kind of portable device which can be played from 
the talk givers seat. This may be useful for talkgivers who want more control 
over their music. I don't actually have such a device, so if anyone is able 
to bring a Discman, iPOD or other mp3 thingy player please let me know. 
Please contact me early if the device is USB and requires some drivers 
installed on my computer on the AWE. Please confirm with me that we need your 
device or else leave it at home.
Note for talkgivers: You may not know how to use the portable device.

Gatz and Mary. Please pass this information on to your talk givers.

Lastly, the reason why it is different this weekend is because of a cumulation 
of things:
	* The computer which I usually use on the AWE had just croaked
	* My deadline deadline dealine - do not pass or else I pay $8000 - for my 
thesis is early April.
	* I can't get the to school on Friday by 5pm. I'll probably get there at 6pm
