I agree Eileen. The most distasteful thing about Israel to me is the fact that it is state sanctioned genocide which is backed by all the so-called 'free and democratic' countries. I am Australian, and our govt supports Israel. All the hypocrisy that goes on, such as the emphasis on Saddam Hussein breaching UN regulations, when Israel has breached more than any other country - is very frustrating. I am no anti-Semite. To me, a good Jew is as good as a good Muslim. I make no distinction between people of different religions. My problem is with the Israeli govt, who happen to be Jews. If they were Christians, or Muslims I would feel the same way. wa'salaam Aisha >From: "kas2eileen" <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [Progressivemuslimsnetwork] Requesting support for a >community-wide open le >Date: Thu, 22 Jan 2004 16:32:45 -0500 > >salaam Afdhere, I must object to your statements as they sound very >inverted.
