Salâm Charity, welcome to the northern provinces of South Africa where close cousins of the Taliban control most of the mosques. Unfortunately there are no mosques in Sandton/northern suburbs of Joburg* that permit women. There are 3 mosques in the Mayfair/Brixton area, not far from the city centre, and a few more to the south of the city that have facilities for women. Also, about 20 minutes drive from Sandton to the north is the Rasuli Centre mosque at Raslouw, midway between Sandton and Pretoria. Perhaps Na`eem knows of other mosques. AbdulAleem * Trivia - officially the apostrophe has been dropped in Joburg. > salaam aleikum, > > am headed to Jo'burg next week and possibly out into the provinces the > week > after . . . > > anyone here currently in South Africa?
