The Paradise Ride Fundraising Goes On.....

Please accept my sincere thanks for your donation, Mudhillun. It is much appreciated.

Thuis far, my collected donations total $596, so I still have to raise another $1906.

It is an interesting group of people who have donated to the Paradise Ride on my behalf: three Muslims, a Jewish woman, a number of people who work as escorts in Hawaii and members of the Socialist Party-USA. A very interesting cross-section of people.

Most people I ask to help me dont bother to reply. They ignore my emails or tell me they will "get back to me on that", etc. I admit it is more than a little discouraging.

Some may wonder about my asking sex workers for donations. THe only answer I can give is that, when the Cause is as important as this, donations should be sought from anyone. The "good and moral people" I have asked have, for the most part, declined to offer any kind of support. Sex workers are human, decended from Adam and Eve, as we all are. They care about pain and suffering, too. Many will offer help, if asked.
