Hi jonano and cryonauts,

yes, if one has confidence in US business. Other US examples: Cloud
computing and virtual 3-D worlds (possession of a "puppet" in the PC =
avatar).
Of course there is not the typical U.S. company, the owners are the
international shareholders. But ultimately the computers are on U.S.
territory. What interests
us most, are also U.S. patents ... U.S. U.S. U.S. ... I am fascinated with
^^

Companies want to make money. Either Facebook and Co will eventually be
almost priceless (monopolies). Or go bust - along with your data.
You can only pray, that other companies can take your data with.

What would be the solution? There are many computer geeks. Members and
interested parties from alcor.org and cryonics.org, build a separate
computer platform.
Virtual Worlds ... like http://www.secondlife.com, can work with Open-SIM.
http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Main_Page

Open-SIM ... here are still many technical problems. I must admit, i am
technical overwhelmed. But I see the great opportunities for us :))

Hallo jonano und Kryonauten,

ja, wenn man Vertrauen zu US-Unternehmen hat. Weitere US-Beispiele waren
Cloud-Computing und virtuelle 3-D Welten (Besitz einer " Puppe " im PC =
Avatar).
Naturlich gibt es nicht das typische US-Unternehmen, die Besitzer sind die
internationalen Aktionare. Aber letztendlich stehen die Computer auf
US-Boden.
Das was fur uns interessant ist, hat auch meist U.S Patente. U.S. U.S. U.S.
... ich bin fasziniert ^^

Unternehmen wollen Geld verdienen. Entweder Facebook und Co werden
irgendwann fast unbezahlbar (Monopole). Oder gehen pleite - zusammen mit
Deinen Daten.
Da kannst Du nur noch beten, dass andere Unternehmen Deine Daten mit
ubernehmen.

Was ware die Losung? Hier gibt es viele Computerfreaks. Mitglieder und
Interessenten von alcor.org und cryonics.org, schaffen sich ein eigene
Computerplattform.
Virtuelle Welten, wie http://www.secondlife.com , lassen z.Bsp. Open-SIM zu.
http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Main_Page

Open-SIM ... da gibt es noch viele technische Probleme. Ich muss zugeben,
damit technisch uberfordert zu sein. Aber ich sehe klar und deutlich die
Chancen fur uns :))

Best Greetings
Jens Rabis
