From the title (_Dark Reflections_) and the Amazon page, it wasn't obvious to me that it was fiction. Googling a bit more, though, I ran across <http://sodsbrood.com/dhalgren/?p=146>, which does label it as a novel. Read the whole page, but here's one relevant paragraph: He read from a book soon-to-be-published titled, Dark Reflections (I think I have that correct). Delany has not written SF in years, preferring he said in recent years to write "micro histories" which seem to be a sort of revisionist history highly focused around one event or locale. Dark Reflections is a reflection on race, and homosexuality. In particular, Delany wants to foreground how Stonewall's racial composition was sidelined by the gay rights movement; Stonewall was a predominantly black and Hispanic bar, he said at one point.
