I went to a screening with Chip and Fred in Brooklyn back in May. The version that was shown then was a newer cut than the one which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2007. Fred mentioned that the DVD would come out soon, and would be packaged with some extra footage, including the full version of Delany's 1970s experimental film The Orchid (Some excerpts of the film are in The Polymath.) On a quick browse I don't see any info online about the actual DVD yet. But if its being released on Sept. 15th something should be up soon. I'll keep my eyes open.
