Nominees have been announced for this year's Hugo Awards. Winners will be announced at the 66th World Science Fiction Convention, Aug. 6-10, in Denver. The Hugo Award, also known as the Science Fiction Achievement Award, is given annually by the World Science Fiction Society <http://www.wsfs.org>. The award was named in honor of Hugo Gernsback, the founder of /Amazing Stories/, the first magazine devoted entirely to science fiction.
