Hi Colleen,

I put this question to my SciFi_Discussion group and the first ID was 
unknown but the second is thought to be Todd McCaffrey's /Dragon's 
Blood/. (might be something else by Todd, but they're pretty sure it is 
one of his :))

I've read all of Anne McCaffrey's Pern books, enjoyed 'em all :) Just 
never felt the urge to read any by her son, Todd :(
