With apologies for cross-posting: The Grieg Academy/Department of Music at the University of Bergen has announced a four-year, fully funded PhD position in musicology (annual salary NOK 436.500). The focus of the dissertation is open, as is the disciplinary background of the applicant (historical, critical, or cultural musicology; popular music studies; ethnomusicology; cultural studies; etc.) Projects with a significant concentration on issues relating to popular music/popular culture and/or gender/sexuality are most welcome. Applicants must have an M.A. degree in hand. Deadline for the submission of the proposal is 15 September 2018.
