One of my colleagues at New Jersey City University (Jersey City NJ) is
seeking adjuncts to cover a professor's leave of absence. She urgently
needs someone to cover two sections of Islam Today Gen Ed classes. The
course is instructed in English. Her contact info is below:

The Modern Languages Department at New Jersey City University is seeking
adjunct faculty for the following fall 2018 courses:

LANG 275 Islam Today: MW 9.55-11:10 am

LANG 275 Islam Today: MW 4:00-5:15 pm

The course introduces the core components of Islam: texts, beliefs,
rituals, and law (Fiqh). Il explores Islam in Middle ages and its
civilization. It also discusses the present relations between Islam and the
West, especially the challenges faced by Muslims and how the West sees
Islam. We will ask ourselves how to negotiate an identity that does not
exclude anyone.
