Register now - “Against the elites!” The cultural politics of anti-elitism in the current conjuncture Conference

I am writing you to let you know that registration is now open for the “Against the elites!” The cultural politics of anti-elitism in the current conjuncture conference at the University of Göttingen on 26 th and 27 th October, 2018. Conference registration is free of charge. Please register by writing to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> by October 9th.

The conference will take place at: Tagungszentrum an der Sternwarte / Geismarer Landstr. 11b, D-37083 Göttingen, Germany

It will feature 16 international papers tackling the current prominence of anti-elitism across different societies and fields asking for the implications of anti-elitist sentiments, rhetoric and formations in contemporary culture and politics. What connections and resonances are there between anti-elitist themes in different fields or spheres? How are they also diverging and coming into conflict? And who can make use of them to what effect? These are the main questions for this interdisciplinary conference.
