Colleagues--my Mad Scientist's Guide to College Composition (A Somewhat Cheeky but Exceedingly Useful Introduction to Academic Writing) is starting the production process with Broadview, and the marketing department there has asked me to supply them with a list of individuals who might like an examination copy this fall. The guide takes a rather irreverent approach to writing, framing different kinds of assignments as "experiments" and inviting students to have fun with writing. If you teach college comp and would like to get on the list, please email me back with your institutional mailing address and email (don't reply to the list). And please do feel free to pass this along to colleagues who teach comp who might entertain the prospect of a composition guide with a bit more personality than a phonebook!
