I wanted to inform the list that the NEPCA conference destination has been
announced for November 15-16th in Portsmouth, New Hampshire at the Sheraton
Portsmouth Harborside Hotel.  We're looking forward to a great conference
and have opened up the call for papers

We have been a well-attended conference for years that offers a welcoming,
encouraging and (reasonably) affordable event for graduate students,
independent scholars, and scholars of all experience to present their
current and forthcoming research.

Our areas for proposals include:  American Literature and Fiction, Belief,
Celebrity and Fan Studies, Celtic Studies, Comics and Graphic Novels, Crime
in Fact and Fiction, Dance, Digital Media and Gaming Culture,  Fantasy and
Science Fiction, Fashion and Body Image, Film & History, Food, Foodways and
Culture, Genders, Sex and Sexualities, Global Cultures, Health, Disease and
Popular Culture, History and Uses of the Past, Humor, Labor Studies,
Libraries, Archives, Collecting & Publishing, Marketing and Advertising,
Monsters and the Monstrous, Music, New England Studies, Philosophy and
Popular Culture, Politics, Civic Life and Popular Culture, Psychology and
Popular Culture, Race and Ethnicity, Romance/Popular Romance Fiction,
Science and Technology, Sports, Storytelling: Constructing Oral and Written
Narratives, Teaching and Popular Culture, Television, Travel, Urban
Studies, War, Peace and Culture, World Literature.

Please submit your proposal via the online form:

papers and complete panels will be considered. The deadline for proposals
is June 1, 2019.
