CFP: Doing Autoethnography
January 2-5, 2020
Dolphin Beach Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida

Since the inaugural conference in 2011, participants have gathered to present their work, engage in vibrant discussion, and build relationships at Doing Autoethnography conferences. In 2020, the tradition continues.

In order to provide autoethnographers (of all experience levels) the opportunity to present their autoethnographic endeavors and encourage dialogue among scholars across a variety of disciplines, Doing Autoethnography invites submissions of papers, performances, and panels to be considered for presentation. Submissions might:

*engage a variety of topics (e.g., gender, sexuality, race, health, education) autoethnographically or through related methods of narrative and/or performative writing,
*address autoethnography on theoretical or methodological levels,
*champion aspects of autoethnography or autoethnography in general, and/or
*interrogate practices in autoethnographic methods.

Creative and innovative approaches are encouraged. All submissions should take the form of extended abstracts (not to exceed 750 words). Email your abstract to [email protected] to be considered for presentation at Doing Autoethnography 2020. The deadline for submission is July 15, 2019.

The symposium will be held at The Dolphin Beach Resort, 4900 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach Florida. To reserve a room, guests must call the Dolphin Beach reservation department at 800-237-8916 and ask for the “Doing Autoethnography" group block listed under code: G/DOAU/2020. Room Rates: Gulf front rooms, $149.00; Poolside rooms, $129.00; Standard rooms, $109.00.
