Dear colleagues,

The Department of Media Studies in the College of Media, Communication and
Information (CMCI) at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking
applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Media Studies
specializing in critical media theory, with a focus on one or more of the
following areas: media industries, media infrastructures, big data, social
media, and platform and software studies. Preference would be given to
applicants whose research emphasizes the politics of data exclusion and
discrimination, or that focuses on other forms of online mistreatment
(harassment, bullying, doxing, etc.), based on gender, race, ethnicity,
class, and sexuality both within and across borders. In addition to
excellence in research and teaching, the successful candidate will
demonstrate a dedication to extend the mission of our interdisciplinary
undergraduate and graduate programs. The position is anticipated to begin
in August 2020.

For further information and instructions on how to apply, please see the

Nabil
