Dear List Members,

The titles below are now available for review in The Journal of the Fantast=
ic in the Arts. These are hard copies forwarded at the journal's expense, =
so are geographically limited to North American reviewers.

  * Gothic Remixed: Monster Mashups and Frankenfictions in 21st-Century C=
ulture by Megan De Bruin-Mol=E9
  * Dark Forces at Work: Essays on Social Dynamics an d Cinematic Horrors=
 edited by Cynthia Miller and A. Bowdoin van Riper.
  * The Harry Potter Generation: Essays on Growing Up with the Series, ed=
ited by Emily Lauer and Balaka Basu
  * Suburban Fantastic Cinema: Growing Up in the Late Twentieth Century =
by Angus McFadzean
  * Playing Dystopia: Nightmarish Worlds in Video Games and the Player's =
Aesthetic Response by Gerald Farca

The following two titles are new contributions to the Modern Masters of Sci=
ence Fiction series from the University of Illinois Press. I'd love to find=
 someone to do both of these together as a double review, but also am accep=
ting applications to review one or the other alone:

  * Joanna Russ by Gwyneth Jones
  * Kim Stanley Robinsonby Robert Markley

The following four titles are all part of Auteur Press Devil's Advocates se=
ries. I'm particularly keen to find someone interested in reviewing all fou=
r together as part of a substantive review essay. Failing that, I also welc=
ome applications to review a pair as a double review:

  *   Scream by Steven West
  * The Devils by Darren Arnold
  * Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me by Lindsay Hallam
  * House of Usher by Evert Jan van Leeuwen

The following four titles are all part of Auteur Press's "Constellations" s=
eries. What I'm ideally looking for is someone to do a review essay--that i=
s, to review them together in a substantive essay that situates them in rel=
ation to the current field of science fiction studies.

  * Blade Runner by Sean Redmond
  *   Inception by David Carter
  * Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Jon Towlson
  *   Robocop by Omar Ahmed
  * The Damned by Nick Riddle

Interested parties should email [email protected] and briefly out=
line qualifications. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THE LIST. JFA asks for revi=
ews of 1200-1500 words (single reviews) within roughly 3 months of receipt =
of the title.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey
