Dear SHERA members,



As a CAA affiliated society, The Society of Historians of East European,
Eurasian, and Russian Art and Architecture (SHERA) may submit one complete
panel session (90 minutes in length) for the next College Art Association
Conference to be held in Los Angeles, Feb 21-24, 2018.

We may submit either a proposal for a complete session with enlisted
speakers, or a session proposal with a call for participants.  We invite
proposals to chair or co-chair a SHERA-sponsored panel.

Consistently with SHERA=E2=80=99s profile, we welcome proposals that highli=
ght the
scholarship on art historical topics related to Eastern Europe, Eurasia,
and Russia, with emphasis on particular visual themes, sources,
methodological perspectives, and/or historiographical issues related to the
art and architecture of these regions from the Middle Ages to the present.
Particularly encouraged are topics that aim to reconsider, or reinterpret a
chapter of art-history, opening a new discourse about it.

Please send your proposal to [email protected] by March 31.
CAA needs to receive the selected proposal by April 15.

            You have to be a SHERA member to chair or co-chair a panel and
present at CAA. You may join SHERA once your proposal for a panel or a talk
is accepted.
