Many thanks for Alice Sullivan, U of Michigan, for organizing and chairing the double session, and to the speakers: Julia Secklehner, The Courtauld Institute of Art, Heidi Cook, Truman State University, Maria Lanko, University of Aberdeen, Nicola Kozicharow, University of Cambridge, Denis Stolyarov, The Courtauld Institute of Art, and Marina Maximova, Loughborough University. Congratulations to Maria Lanko, our first Maya Semina Travel Grant grantee. Announcement of the next Maya Semina Travel Grant will follow next year, for ASEEES 2018. I look forward to working with the SHERA officers: Karen Kettering, Vice President/President elect, Ksenia Nouril, Secretary-Treasurer, Yelena Kalinsky Listserv Manager, Corina Apostol Communication Manager, Anna Sokolova, Society of Architectural Historians liaison, Members-at-large Hanna Chuchvaha, Nicolas Iljine, Natalia Kolodzei and Andrey Shabanov; as well as the members of the newly established Conference Organizing Committee: Natasha Kurchanova and Margaret Samu on behalf of SHERA, joined by Silvia Burini (CSAR), and Rosalind Polly Blakesley (CCRAC) working on =E2=80=9CTranslations and Dialogues: The Reception of Russian Art Abroad=E2= =80=9D held at Univerist=C3=A1 Ca=E2=80=99 Foscari, Venice, in October 2017. Also, many thanks for the proposals and accounts of SHERA activities put forward at our business meeting, the Minutes of which will be soon posted on our website, for wich special thanks to Natasha Kurchanova. As new President of SHERA for a two-year term, I hope to work closely with all of you. As Board, we are open to suggestions and initiatives. We look forward to receiving a description of the planned SHERA Prize for Best Presentation at an ASEEES Conference from the initiators Erika Wolf and Andrea Rusnock, and as soon as we can announce this, it will be time to work on the Best Published Essay Prize by an emerging scholar. Ideas, volunteers to commit as working in the Award Committee are welcome. Our future communications will be through H-Net, set up by Yelena Kalinsky.
