Yours, dr.Augustin Ioan Associate Professor, University of Architecture in Bucharest, Romania East-West Gallery New York Dear Sir, It is our pleasure to invite you at an unique exhibition of Liliana & Catalin Udrea, named Women witch present fashion design and photos. The cultural background of this original project is the great neurotic of the end of the 19th century Gustav Klimt. La femme fatale, the character that doesnt cease to amaze the audience even today, is a strange mixture of erotic, decadent morbidezza and ever gone purity. And, after all, there are these attitudes, so contemporary eventually, that are explored by the sculptor Catalin Udrea and by the designer Liliana Udrea in their successful attempt to prove that art and craft are organically mingled. The sick beauty of the women painted by Klimt ware is esthetically reinvented in this exhibition by the artists. The designer Liliana Udrea is teaching at the Fashion Department of National Fine Arts University Bucharest and she exposed also in Romania, England, Italy, and Greece. Catalin Udrea is one of the best Romanian sculptors and he has over 20 exhibitions. They are both members of the Fine Art Union from Romania. Your presence in our exhibition may be also an opportunity for a future project together.
