Dear SHERA members,

I'm helping Jonathan Platt (University of Pittsburgh) put together a panel
for the ASEEES 2013 conference titled "Contemporary Art Collectives and the
Revolution Today." The panel will present papers on contemporary art groups
who assert the direct political impact of aesthetic practices, e.g. Chto
delat, Voina, Pussy Riot, Femen, Krytyka Polityczna, etc.
Currently, there are two presenters, one giving a talk on Gender, Politics,
and the Factory of Found Clothes and one discussing the use of the body in
the work of the Voina group. We're looking for a third presenter and a
chair for the session.
If you're interested in participating, please contact Jonathan at
[email protected] or me at [email protected]
