For anyone who may be in the Washington, D.C. area next weekend...

Hillwood Museum & Gardens and the Initiative for Russian Culture<http://www.american.edu/cas/history/initiative-russian-culture/> at American University are pleased to present a symposium complementing the exhibition Pageants of the Tsars: The Coronation Albums of the Romanovs<http://www.hillwoodmuseum.org/whats/exhibitions/pageant-tsars>. The exhibition marks the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Romanov dynasty in 1613 and explores the history of Russia through the lens of Hillwood's collection of five coronation albums. Spend the day with Russian scholars, including exhibition curator Kristen Regina of Hillwood, Anton Fedyashin and Eric Lohr from American University, Fiona Hill of The Brookings Institution, Russell Martin of Westminster College and Edward Kasinec of the Harriman Institute at Columbia University.

Participants are welcome to bring their own brown-bag lunch or to pre-order from the Hillwood Café. Lunch is $20 and includes a sandwich (choice of ham, turkey or veggie) , salad, cookie and drink.
