Art & Museums in Russia (AMR)—a 4-week seminar for students of art, art
history and museum studies in St. Petersburg — is an academic and artistic
learning experience of vast scope and immense intensity. Explore artistic
sites, listen to specialists, receive instruction from artists, but, first
and foremost, produce art of your own – all in one of Europe’s most vibrant
and overlooked artistic hubs.

This year’s AMR, offered for the ninth consecutive year by The School of
Russian and Asian Studies (SRAS) in cooperation with the Hermitage
Educational Center, will take place June 14–July 14 2013 in St. Petersburg.
In addition to a comprehensive study of art history from the perspective of
Russia, students choose between two tracks: studio art or museum studies and
art preservation.

You can read more about this program at www.SRAS.org/ART

** The application deadline for AMR is April 15. **
All artists and art historians, whether students or practicing
professionals, are welcome to apply. All instruction is in English. No
previous knowledge of Russian required.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. We hope you can join us
this summer!

Best wishes,

Anne

In 2011, The School of Russian and Asian Studies (SRAS) established
ArtinRussia.org, a division dedicated to helping artists develop their
personal practice through the educational opportunities of Russia and
Eurasia. Our team of consultants draws from years of experience on the
ground inside the art circles, museums, educational institutions and
creative life of that geographic region to create extraordinary study abroad
programs, faculty led tours, and travel assistance services. Our mission is
to make the rich heritage and current innovations of Russia and Eurasia open
to more students, professionals and art enthusiasts.
