A list of available sessions and instructions for submission can be found https://secac.memberclicks.net/assets/documents/secac/conference/secac_2013_call_for_papers.pdf ** ** I would like to call special attention to a session that I am co-chairing: *Rethinking Watershed Exhibitions***** ** ** Certain exhibitions are widely recognized as turning points or touchstones in the history of art; while not alone, the Armory Show of 1913, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, is notable in this regard. The Armory Show of 1913, upheld as a watershed in the history of American art, was the first large scale display of works of European modernism in the U.S. Other shows are likewise recognized as having radical historical impacts such as the Nazi's *Degenerate Art* *and Great German Art*exhibitions in Munich in 1937, as well as the Museum of Modern **** Art's *Primitivism* show in 1984 and the subsequent *Magiciens de la Terre*show in Paris in 1989.
