Election results and congratulations to the new board member

Dear members of the SHERA listserv:

I am delighted to announce the results of our most recent election and
welcome Eva Forgacs as SHERA's new Vice-President/President-Elect!  We are
very happy to continue having Ksenya Gurshtein as our wonderful News Editor
for yet another year.

I also would like to take this opportunity to thank Margaret Samu, our
departing President, for her expert and energetic leadership.  Margaret
spearheaded the drive to revive our nearly extant organization and led it
to become a vibrant and growing force serving scholars in our field.
Margaret's contribution to SHERA;s regeneration and health is indeed
invaluable.  Moving forward, we hope to continue benefiting from her vast
knowledge and advice.

As we are preparing for the upcoming CAA conference next month, I am
looking forward to working with the renewed board on maintaining the
momentum we gained over the past two years and to expanding our membership
base and the range of our outreach and services to the members of our
community.
