I am putting together a joint panel for the Canadian Slavic Association and
Canadian Historical Association annual meetings being held in Calgary May
30-31 and June 1. Prof Kristi Groberg, University of North Dakota, has
indicated her interest in taking part along with me in presenting papers
loosely based on the theme "Telling Stories Without Words." I would
particularly like somebody working on non-Russian Eastern-European art, but
that is certainly not necessary. In addition we will need a chairperson and
commentator, or one person who would be willing to fulfil both roles.
As the CHA deadline is almost upon us, I need to hear from you as soon as
possible. I have sent a letter of intent to submit to the program chair of
that association, and since this was in response to a request from the CAS
program chair, I am fairly sure that this joint panel will be accepted.
A graduate student would be more than welcome to round out a panel that
includes a tenured professor and an inependant historian. I look forward to
hearing from you.
Connie
