Dear SHERAns, Even though many of us are busy preparing for the ASEEES convention in Philadelphia next week, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the schedule for the CAA conference has been made public, and that SHERA is featured in two sessions on three separate days of the conference. SHERA's 1.5 session, "Collecting, Curating, Canonizing, Critiquing: The Institutionalization of Eastern European Art," chaired by Ksenia Nouril, will take place on Thursday, February 4, at 12:30 PM at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, which is the main location for the conference. Alison Hilton's session "Exploring Native Traditions in the Arts of Eastern Europe and Russia" Part One will take place on Wednesday, February 3, the first day of the conference, at 2:30-5 PM in the same hotel. The second part of this session will take place on Friday, February 5, at Hillwood Museum and Gardens, an institutional member of SHERA that has kindly agreed to host this part of the session and SHERA's business meeting. The business meeting is scheduled for 12:30 at CW Post Center of Hillwood Museum, and the second part of Alison Hilton's session will follow the meeting. The time listed on the CAA program for the beginning of this second part is 2:30, but we are planning to start 15 minutes earlier, at 2:15. This is just an early reminder to please mark your calendars for these times and locations if you are planning to attend CAA. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at ASEEES.
