SAH's American Architecture and Landscape Field Trip Program Makes Grant to
artworxLA
In Spring of 2016 SAH awarded artworxLA a $5,000 grant to support the design
and implementation of a 10-week program on architectural history for
underserved Los Angeles high school students engaged in the organization's
series of artist-led classroom workshops. The funding helped artworxLA

Back to the Balkans (and then the States): Final Report
By Patricia Blessing, 2014 H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellow
I write this in Prizren, Kosovo, during the one of the last legs of my
travels. Now that my tenure as H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellow comes to an
end, it is time to reflect on a year that has been, in many ways,
extraordinary. The chance offered by the fellowship to explore, travel
without haste, and without the limitations of specific sites indicated in a
research proposal is profoundly enriching and transformative. Over the
course of the year, I travelled to (in alphabetical order): Armenia, Bosnia,
Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Kosovo, Lebanon,
Macedonia, Morocco, Spain, Turkey, and the UK.
