This request is politically motivated. I do not think it should be
allowed on a moderated site.

p.s. Having compared pictures of the murals to Taylor's other work,
these
murals are lifeless and look like they were done by a 2nd year high
school
student with some talent. They do not compare to her portraits,
figuratives
or landscapes, which show her mature talent. I would have to agree
that the
majority of the panels are pro-union. Whether the governor of Maine
has the
right to take them down is not an argument that I will enter, that is
for
the people of the great state of Maine.

MODERATOR'S NOTE: The original post contained the passage "the
bonehead Tea Party Maine Governor" and that opinionated adjective
should have been removed. For that, I apologize. But as the overall
objective related to the subject matter of this list, I still see no
objection to its inclusion.--Darryl
MODERATOR'S NOTE # 2: As the person who first handled this note, I
need to say that I should have picked up that phrase as well, but I
let it go by in a moment of inattention. I also apologize for letting
it go through. But apart from that phrase, I think that judgments
about the relative worth of visual artifacts is an appropriate central
issue for the list. Political views are, of course, necessarily and
implicitly a part of such judgments, whatever side they come down on.
