The Adaptation Area this year encompasses traditional approaches to film adaptation, including Adaptation theory Novel to film adaptation Genre adaptation (homage, parody, etc) Stage to screen adaptation (excluding Shakespeare) Video games, songs, cartoons, graphic novels and comic books to film adaptation as well as a broader interpretation of the term adaptation, including films which translate culture into cinema through adaptations of The American West Political or religious ideology History Biography Race, gender, sexuality Please send inquiries regarding this area to Lynnea Chapman King at the email address below.
