I could be mistaken, but I am nearly positive I read that Ford visited the
set of Broken Arrow--at Daves' behest--and made several suggestions, which
Daves used. For the life of me I wish I could remember where. Maybe the
person wrote it invented it? Might be worth looking into, in any case. I
don't suppose there is anyone alive who would know firsthand.
