From: Rosenbaum-Andre, Judith [[email protected]] Participations, The Journal for Audience and Reception Studies has put its latest issue online at http://www.participations.org/ The current issue addresses a wide variety of topics, and includes four special sections. The first special section addresses comic book audiences, and includes articles on, among other things, film-adaptations, the role of social networks among comic book audiences, and the perspective of teenage audiences on graphic novels. The second special section is devoted entirely to music audiences, and addresses contemporary listening practices, the use of social media, as well as several specific case studies of music fans. The third and fourth special section address audience involvement and new production paradigms, and the different issues faced by multi-method audience research projects. These two sections include articles addressing audience participation in multiplatform television, convergence and broadcasting trends, as well as several articles addressing triangulation in audience research. The journal is open to all users, so please check out this latest endeavor. Participations is also always on the lookout for new contributions in the field of mass/popular culture. Please see http://www.participations.org/submission_guidelines.htm for details on submitting an essay ------------------------------------- Judith E.
